Why I created Connect the Dots

I created this podcast as a way to help entrepreneurs, small and medium sized businesses understand there are many different approaches to having a streamlined Marketing and Sales process. Sometimes it's the outside perspectives that provide the greatest value and new ideas that leads to clarity and confidence to take action.

My Goal with Connect the Dots

My goal is two-fold:

  1. To provide a platform for guests to share their stories and experiences while expanding their communities, and

  2. To create interest and 'aha' moments for listeners that leads to improvements in their marketing and sales strategies guiding their business to the next level.

It’s my passion to help businesses take action, embrace their uniqueness and grow revenue. It IS possible to align marketing and sales efforts, grow your business and make an impact. Connect the Dots will educate and inspire you to do that along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

What's the format?

Three options but whatever works best for you, I'm flexible (all focused on you, your business, your insights):

1) Provide questions ahead of time

2) Provide 3 high level topic ideas

3) Open discussion - however your responses lead us

How is the interview conducted?

I use Zoom and will provide a link once a date and time is confirmed.

I don't know you that well, can we have a pre-call before I commit?

Of course! I use the same link as I included below to schedule a 30-minute get-to-know-you call. It's not required but is available for anyone interested.

Video and/or audio?

All episodes are audio which I upload to Libsyn which distributes to network: my website, Apple, Google, Spotify and Stitcher

Video is optional but if you are comfortable with video it creates a new opportunity on YouTube (SEO) and video/audio clips for your marketing and branding efforts.

Will the episode be edited?

If I need to edit - remove long pauses/um's if needed (on audio only), something was said and it shouldn't be in the episode so I remove it, etc. I typically don't do much editing on the video but will do more on audio when needed.

How long should I anticipate the interview to last?

Guest interviews last anywhere from 20-40 minutes. I like to keep it under 40 because that's just a really long time for someone to listen (plus I add an intro and outro which adds time) but 20-30 is better.

Can I provide something for listeners to take action on, download or use?

Yes! If it can be converted to PDF, that's ideal. If it can't, let's discuss and we'll figure out the best format for my website.

What do you do with the episode once it's ready to share with the world?  I help market your brand for a week!

  • I create a Show Notes page (essentially a blog post with audio and video embedded) with talking points from the episode

  • I include links to your contact info, website, and any others mentioned in the podcast

  • I include any downloadable docs you want or a link to request from you via email

  • I distribute to Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify and Stitcher

  • I include a link in my weekly email (notified a day before anyone else)

  • Throughout the week I post on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram Stories and my Facebook business page (I don't have many followers but it can be shared to your page).
