The experience I've had with big and small companies as well as startups (including my own!) provide me with perspective to help all types of clients. 

What about the industry? Whether I was working in automotive, manufacturing, in an agency, at a publishing company or with clients through my company, there's always an opportunity to tell a story. Stories are what people relate to so an industry isn't always the common denominator. 

It's the situations, stories and experiences that bring people together. The industry is nice to chat about once you've identified the problem and created the solution. After that happens, it's time to discuss the products and services. And who knows your own solutions better than you?  

Being non-niche is very exciting for the opportunities it creates!
