Your Video Creator Archetype

Architect Checking Plans

The Architect

Here are a few things you want to know about your Video Creator Type SFOC, The Architect:

  • SFOC is an acronym for Short Form (LF) and Off Camera (OC)

  • Short form means videos under 60 seconds

  • Off camera means you prefer someone or something else is the focus of your video

  • The Architect likes to plan, follow best practices and create trends that others will quickly want to follow and imitate

Characteristics of an Architect might be:

  1. Fast-Pace: You enjoy working with people who like to get things done then move on but in a systemic and efficient way. There is no 'next level' because you're busy creating it. Others may question whether they can keep up with your pace.

  2. Early Adopter: You like being one of the first to try new technologies, trends or features because you'll enjoy the process of sharing the experience with others from your POV in the best way possible to connect with your target audience.

  3. Structured: Moving fast and creating trends requires being organized and structured. You need to make sure all steps to building an impactful video are taken and having a plan with steps outlined is best for achieving your goals.

What IS a 'Short Form' video?

  • Short-form video is what you see on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. 'Short' videos are typically under 60 seconds but can be upwards of 3 minutes.

  • These videos are in portrait or 'selfie' mode with dimensions that are taller than wide, 1080 x 1920 for example.

  • You will see people on camera and off camera dancing, lip synching, talking direct to camera or voice over.

  • This video type is faster and easier to create whether it's planned or in-the-moment shots. Those who create short-form videos say that these are more fun to make and don't require as much time commitment as long-form videos.

Based on your Architect Video Creator Type, here are a few things you can do next:

  1. Pick one of the long form video platforms to create an account, and follow me (TikTok, Instagram or YouTube)

  2. Find 2 or 3 influencers on that platform who are creating content that you like (in or out of your niche)

  3. Join my FREE LinkedIn Community Video Vibes. This is where I share video tips, host events and support you on your video journey. It's also an opportunity for you to connect with others who are on their video journey, too.

Let go of the expectations that videos need to be perfect - because they don't. The best videos - the videos people relate to and like the most - are the imperfect videos.

I'm here to guide you along the video-creation-with-consistency-journey every step of the way,
