Your Video Creator Archetype

Rock Lead Singer

The Rock Star

Here are a few things you want to know about your Video Creator Type SFNC, The Rock Star:

  • SFNC is an acronym for Short Form (SF) and On Camera (NC)

  • Short form means videos under 60 seconds

  • On camera means you prefer being the ‘talking head’ or be on camera

  • Rock Stars like the creative process, trending videos and audio, inject their personalities into their videos and may be more animated or enjoy 'performing' in front of the camera

Characteristics of a Rock Star might be:

  1. Fast-Pace: You enjoy working with people who like to get things done then move on. There is no 'next level' because you're busy creating it. Others may question whether they can keep up with your pace.

  2. Charismatic: You're not afraid to be seen on camera and let your authentic self be seen. You may even be overly dramatic or 'perform' to get your message across. You realize that being yourself is the most effective way to attract, connect and convert your ideal clients.

  3. Risk Taker: You're willing to try new things and get out of your comfort zone because you see the opportunities to be seen and heard - even though it may make you feel uncomfortable in the process.

What IS a 'Short Form' video?

  • Short-form video is what you see on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. 'Short' videos are typically under 60 seconds but can be upwards of 3 minutes.

  • These videos are in portrait or 'selfie' mode with dimensions that are taller than wide, 1080 x 1920 for example.

  • You will see people on camera and off camera dancing, lip synching, talking direct to camera or voice over.

  • This video type is faster and easier to create whether it's planned or in-the-moment shots. Those who create short-form videos say that these are more fun to make and don't require as much time commitment as long-form videos.

Based on your Rock Star Video Creator Type, here are a few things you can do next:

  1. Pick one of the short form video platforms to create an account, and follow me (TikTok, Instagram or YouTube)

  2. Find 2 or 3 influencers on that platform who are creating content that you like (in or out of your niche)

  3. Watch my YouTube video playlist for Short Form Video creators where I share video tips, tutorials and examples of short form videos businesses can make without trying to figure it all out alone.

Let go of the expectations that videos need to be perfect - because they don't. The best videos - the videos people relate to and like the most - are the imperfect videos.
