How do I know if I'm posting where my target audience is?You need to first know who your ideal customer is. Then determine where you enjoy spending time and creating content. If the clients you would love to work with are on Facebook but you enjoy creating content on Instagram, create Instagram Reels on Instagram then push those Reels automatically to your Facebook page. Now your reaching an expanded audience without adding time to your video and content creation schedule. Be sure to add a relevant call-to-action (CTA) to your videos to get your ideal clients to engage and respond to your content. This will help you confirm that you're creating content in the right space. An alternative is to ask your existing clients where they spend the most time then create video content there.

How much time should I spend creating videos for my business?It depends... There are many things to consider such as: 1. Will you be creating short, vertical videos or long, horizontal videos? 2. Are you planning to live stream or pre-record? 3. How much editing will you have for pre-recorded videos? Will you be doing the editing yourself or outsourcing? 4. Have you already started creating videos or are you ready to create your first video? There are too many variations to determine how much time to plan on creating videos. If you want a bare-minimum amount of time, I'd estimate 5 minutes per video. This would be for short form vertical videos that you would create for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. This is also a one-shot recording and very little editing. This is also basic captions and descriptions, hashtags and thumbnail designs. If you want an estimate for longer videos, if you're editing yourself with an app like CapCut, you should plan on at least one hour planning, recording, editing and publishing one 5 minute video. Regardless of the type of video and platform, expect to invest the most time of your videos in the planning stage. Once you have that figured out, the rest doesn't take too long.
