Show Notes

In Part 3 of this 5-part series, Theresa dives into the 5 neurological responses to any good story.

People needs stories to connect with other people and to build relationships.

Theresa reviews how stories have "messy middles" which is what really connects us. It's the experience and how it all comes back to a circle. She demonstrates this with her 'messy middle' ball.

Story prompts that remind us we need to bring the story nuggets to the surface.

Having people who are in your corner – and the messy middle – is why it's so important to have people in your tribe, those who have your back and will be genuinely honest, but kind, with you and your work.

The people who you know, like and trust are those you are drawn to - and vice versa.

Be the magnet. Stories are what make us unique.

Things to think about how you're unique:

  • What do people say I do better than anyone else/

  • If I had a theme song, what would it be?

  • What’s my methodology?

After episode 100 I needed to take time away from creating content for the podcast. When I resumed, I played 'catch up' in Q4 2021 by repurposing popular YouTube videos as podcast episodes.

In January 2022, I simplified and structured my content creation so that my weekly video was my starting point for video, podcast and blog. It's SO much easier now with this process in place. This is part of what I coach established, savvy entrepreneurs and business owners on which saves them time, eases anxiety associated with 'what should I post today?' and actually creates MORE time in their schedules to focus on the things they love. You want to do the same in your business?
