Introducing...

Vicki O'Neill Cincinnati

With so many opportunities to align Marketing and Sales teams, I'm creating YouTube videos dedicated to this topic. I've labeled the series "Under 3 with Vicki" which I will create videos under 3 minutes twice a week to include topics that focus on aligning Marketing and Sales and the impact it can have to the company when these two teams are in sync.

As I mention in my last blog post, the three biggest areas of positive impact to a business when marketing and sales are aligned are: revenue, customer retention and lead win rates.

I will support each video with a blog post and welcome your comments, feedback and topic suggestions.

You can subscribe to my YouTube channel here - and my videos will begin the week of April 9, 2018.

PLEASE NOTE: Although I have 25 years of marketing and sales experience, most of that has been in the corporate world or helping other companies. With that said, my YouTube subscriber count is in the single digits. I've used YouTube for uploading a videos for Snapchat presentations, a couple of intro videos from previous roles and my daughter's lacrosse games. My goal is to take that single digit count and grow it to at least the triple digits by the end of Q2 2018. I believe that's conservative but I'd rather under-promise and over-deliver than over-promise and under-deliver.

Also, if you're interested in being a guest blogger or are interested in a podcast discussion, it would be great to have different perspectives on my blog. I'll also be starting a Marketing and Sales podcast in May 2018. I'm looking for various levels of experts in various industries. The more the merrier - and more interesting and helpful the discussions!

Here's a list of topics for my "Under 3 with Vicki" video series (order and titles may change but this gives you insight into what I plan to provide as of today):

  • Communication, communication, communication!

  • Setting mutual expectations and goals

  • MQL to SQL with BANT in between

  • Mapping the customer experience for customer longevity

  • Owning the end result

  • Who does what?

  • How to prove marketing is driving incremental sales

  • Creative digital marketing strategies to drive in-store sales

  • How can sales get involved in the marketing communication process?

  • What's the customer really buying?
